Today is the 15th day of the Lunar 8th Month.

The Mid-Autumn Festival is held on this day (a full-moon night) and celebrates three fundamental concepts which are closely tied to one another:

  • gathering, such as family and friends coming together, or harvesting crops
  • thanksgiving, to give thanks for the harvest, or for harmonious unions
  • praying (asking for conceptual or material satisfaction), such as for babies, a spouse, beauty, longevity, or for a good future)

The Government of the People’s Republic of China listed the festival as an “intangible cultural heritage” in 2006, and it was made a Chinese public holiday in 2008.

It is also a public holiday in Taiwan. Among the Vietnamese, it is considered the second most important holiday tradition.

WHY ISN’T IT A HOLIDAY IN SINGAPORE???

19092013 - Wonders of Beauty

This picture is the RED MOON that occurred a few years ago and I captured it using my mobile phone.

Although it is not very clear, I am quite happy to be able to capture and share with you lovely souls this blushing moment of a beautiful full moon…

ヽ(´▽`)/YAYヽ(´▽`)/

…awww…the beauty of the moon…

So, do we have the honour to fly with you lovely souls to the moon?

So that we can play among the stars on this beautiful day.

If yes,

Have fun flying to the moon with us!

Till then,

Cheers & TTFN~ 😀
