Glad you liked several quips and had a laugh over “power naps.” Took a few of those during my working career. Had a wind gust here yesterday that blew a shed down on top of an Amishman. He wasn’t seriously injured. Do you know about Amish? Best to you.

Thanks for liking several quips. Always appreciated. TV depictions of Amish are quaint, but usually inaccurate. Amish in 1985 movie “Witness” were depicted pretty accurately. I was on the set of that movie here, writing about it for the local newspaper while it was being filmed. Screenwriters won Academy Awards for it. Best, always, to you.

Thanks for liking several quips. Looks clear here. But pollution level fairly high. We’re about the 13th worst air pollution place in U.S. I’ve written about a few movies with scenes shot here. Scriptwriters often visit here as kids from N.Y.C., wanting to see a live cow. Then, when writing a movie later in life, they decide to create one or more of its scenes in places with fond memories.

Ahhh…live cows? The first time that I’ve been near to a live cow (and many more) was when I visited India in 2007 for 1 month…however, it really saddened me to see those cows eating garbage instead of grazing on those green pastures…
For a person who doesn’t like travelling, it was really a memorable trip.

Yes indeed, it has never been this high ever since the beginning time of the annual ‘hazy routine’…and I’ve heard news about our govt trying to seed the clouds for rain in order to solve it…not sure if it is true…so let’s see if it rains tonight…

Yes, those who are working at the CBD area needed it because the haze condition over there was the worst. My baby sis was wearing a mask even inside the air-conditioned room because they could even feel the haze inside the building…
Thank to the change of wind, the haze condition is getting better, but it seems like the temperature has increased…LOL…well, that’s life…you can’t have it both…

News yesterday said wind shift carried some smog away from Singapore and toward Malaysia. Glad you got relief, but too bad at Maylasia’s expense. Is it due to fires in Indonesia?

Hmm…perhaps it was a glitch in the WP? Usually, I get likes notifications from e-mail for ” ” post, it is the liking of ‘reblog’ from our reader…but since I am reading your posts directly at your blog, it must have been a glitch…
Rain came down for the past few days and some parts were receiving hail instead…odd weathers…but the humid heat still prevails after the rain.
Yes, we would get the haze annually during their deforesting season and it is due to a sudden change of wind direction that made the matter worse this year.

Hate to admit it, but yes. Alcohol was a factor. We could get it illegally as teens. I have a God-given ability for detailed memories and have thought of how many times I put life in jeopardy and was lucky enough to have cheated death (including a few times in Hong Kong). The exception is Walt Whitman’s “Song of Myself” from his “Leaves of Grass.” For me, the guiding lines in that lovely, long poem are: “The smallest sprout shows there is really no death/And if ever there was it led forward life, and does not wait at the end to arrest it.”

We call it Labour Day, but I am not sure if it is the communist May Day since our country was never a communist country.
